We dish on the two miraculous new cosmetics products we can’t get enough of

Kathryn:
Maybe it’s a high bar to set, but I’ve come to expect a certain amount of magic with my beauty products, whether it’s instantly erased fine lines or a transformative mascara. My current makeup obsession is hot off the presses from vbeauté: Lip Spread Anti-Age Tinting Lip Gloss. Now, I’m not a lip gloss fan. I always feeling like I’m eating it, my hair gets stuck in it, and I don’t always love that super shiny look. But vbeauté founder Julie Macklowe promised this would change my P.O.V. She wasn’t lying. This clear gloss is paraben-, gluten- and fragrance-free, with sweet cherry and pomegranate extracts for hydration and alpine rose for antioxidant anti-aging. But the real miraculous thing is the way the super smooth, colorless formula glides on, instantly brightening my lip color. So-called vBotanicals get the credit for this magical tinting, which makes my pout a pretty pink (it deepens the more gloss I use), but is slightly different for everyone, depending on your chemistry. It’s guaranteed flattering since it’s basically customized to you specifically, and my lips have never felt softer. Win win! $28

Alexis:
I can’t live without black liquid liner. In college, liquid liner was something I used for special occasions, attempting—repeatedly—to get a steady, smooth line. Believe me, it took a lot of practice. Until recently, liquid liner was still something I used only when going out or when I had to look more polished simply because it was (still) somewhat time consuming to get the line just right. That is until I found the revolutionary new Curve from NYX. This miracle product has changed my life. Seriously. With an ergonomically designed body, the liner/marker fits naturally into my hand, becoming an extension of the drawing process. Imagine if you were to hold a pencil in your hand in order to line your lids… this mimics the same hand position, making applying the richly pigmented, super black, paraben- and formaldehyde-free formula a breeze. Plus it dries within five seconds, is water resistant, smudge proof and lasts all day.  Now I’ve been wearing liquid liner everyday, playing with thickness, length and how much flair I give the wings in order to change up the look. Sometimes the look is mod, sometimes it’s dainty, but either way, I’ve never felt so comfortable wielding a liquid liner pen before—or as masterful of the results. $15
