This New York City-based stylist, spokesperson and founder of NYCPretty.com shares what beauty products she can’t live without
I usually just wash my face with water in the morning (no soap), then while my face is still damp, I spritz on Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray and follow with their Collagen Moisturizer SPF 15. For more sun protection I sometimes add Dr. Day’s SPF 30 Sunscreen.
I usually don’t wear too much makeup, but I do brush on some blush for a rosy effect (usually Physicians Formula Rose color) and a tinted lip gloss (Korres). Even if I’m not wearing mascara, I like to give my lashes a curl and sometimes swipe on a fun shadow or liner depending on my mood!
Overnight skin ritual:
I never go to bed without taking off my makeup (even though I don’t really wear much). I wash with a gentle cleanser or Yes to Cucumber Makeup Removing Wipes, if I’m lazy! Then I tone, spritz on the Badescu Rose Spray and slather on night cream, usually ROC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Skin or Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer.
Who cuts/colors your hair:
I am always testing out new salons for my blog, NYCPretty.com, but my new favorite spot is Arrojo Studio! I loved Carmel for my last cut. I don’t color my hair so it’s usually just a simple trim with long layers.
I like to let my hair air dry for the most part and then use a dryer to give it a fluff at the very end. My hair dries straight naturally, so if I want extra body I sometimes use a curling brush/iron for more body!
Favorite eye look:
I love a top-lined lid, but I am sooo bad at doing it! Otherwise, a soft smoky eye is always safe.
Nail color of the moment:
I love Chinchilly (light grey) from Essie. If not, just clear.
Marc Jacobs Essence or beachy/coconut-smelling lotions.
“Never without” product:
Aquaphor! It’s perfect for chapped lips and cuticles, too.
Secret to staying young and beautiful:
Exercise, lots of H2O and always having fun!
