Morning routine:
I switch up my cleansers and moisturizers, but I am absolutely religious about sunscreen—every single day, even if it’s raining or dark outside. Lately I’ve been hooked on Colorescience’s Mineral Sunscreen, which you apply just like translucent powder. My daily makeup routine is pretty basic. I skip foundation and just apply Jouer’s Age-Repairing Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Then, I blend a little NARS Orgasm Illuminator on my cheekbones, and, if I’m feeling ambitious, define my eyes with one of Sue Devitt’s Eye Intensifiers—I have every single color. Then, whatever mascara I have lying around, and I’m out the door.
Overnight skin ritual:
During the winter, I switch to face oils to keep my skin from freaking out. I apply a thick layer of Nuxe Multi-Use Dry Oil and eye cream if I can remember it. I’m not that good about my nighttime routine—I’m trying to get better!
Who cuts/colors your hair:
Jeff Chastain, who owns The Parlor in NYC. Our entire staff swears by him.
Hair habit:
I recently learned how to do a “sock bun” from a YouTube tutorial. It really works and if you wear it overnight you’ll wake up to pretty, loose waves.
Favorite eye look:
I have pretty bold brows, so I like to comb them into place with a little brow gel. For my eyes, I use Sue Devitt’s Eye Intensifier to line all around, and finish with a few coats of mascara.
Go-to lipstick:
YSL Pur Couture in Le Orange. I tried on this red-tangerine shade one day on a whim and fell in love with it. Who knew orange lipstick could be so wearable?
Nail color of the moment:
Nail Rock’s Nail Wraps in Glitter or Essie’s Trophy Wife, a fun teal.
Signature scent:
I don’t wear perfume! But if I did, I’d definitely go for something slightly more unisex, like Le Labo’s Iris. Birchbox’s resident perfume snob wears it and I love it on her.
“Never without” product:
Does a hair tie count? I always have an Alex & Isabelle tie on my wrist so I can pull my hair back into a ponytail or bun when it gets in my way.
Secret to staying young and beautiful:
Surround yourself with awesome people and do something that you love. Oh, and sunscreen. Lots of sunscreen.
