The NuFACE Trinity is the latest in microcurrent devices to give your face a workout
With all the products out there promising to improve your skin’s appearance, it’s hard to try all of them to see which will truly work for you. One good place to start is the NuFACE Trinity, the newest microcurrrent-harnessing, hand-held device created by Carol Cole, an esthetician who began working with microcurrents back in the 1980s. “Microcurrent waves mimic the natural electrical energy in our bodies and stimulate the muscles that make up the foundation of our faces,” says Cole, NuFACE’s founder. “A microcurrent treatment is just like exercising the face—it tones and firms those muscles, plus boosts the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a lifted and toned appearance.”
It takes around five minutes to do a full-face treatment using the dual-orbed device and a specialized conductivity gel, after which you’ll see actual lifted results (we’ve tried it ourselves), making it completely addictive. It’s rechargeable, has a timer to tell you when to move on to the next stroke and helps eliminate puffiness, assists with droopy eyebrows and smoothes out fine lines. “In addition to the features we’ve added to make this device more user-friendly, the detachable treatment head makes this a truly one-of-a-kind device,” says Cole. “With the additional treatment modalities we’ll be launching in 2012, customers will be able to have a high-tech spa in their homes.” These interchangeable heads will triple the functionality of the device: the soon-to-be-released red LED head will help with anti-aging, while the blue LED head—available in late 2012—will target acne, making the Trinity a one-stop shop for at-home facial maintenance. $325, www.mynuface.com
